CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund Form
On March 27, 2020, the federal government enacted P.L. 116-136, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and
Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”). The CARES Act includes a Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (“HEERF”). The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provides students who meet the eligibility requirements to participate in programs under Section 484 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (eligible for federal financial aid), with emergency financial aid grants to help with expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
